  • Bookings can be made at any time before departure via email, telephone, or through our website www.samisiida.no.

  • Our rates are in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include applicable Norwegian taxes. Payment is processed in NOK. An invoice fee of NOK 50 will be charged for each invoice. Credit card payments incur an additional fee of 3.5%.

  • The full amount must be paid at the time of booking.
    For manually booked experiences (packages, private tours, etc.):

    • Payment can be made via bank transfer (invoice) or e-payment link sent by email or SMS.

    • Invoice or payment link will include a set payment deadline, usually 2 weeks.

    • If payment is not made within the deadline, Sami Siida reserves the right to cancel the booking without notice. A cancellation confirmation will be sent by email.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and confirmed by Sami Siida with a cancellation confirmation before they take effect.

  • 30 days or more before arrival: 10% retained by Sami Siida.

    29–15 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking value is charged, in addition to the 10% deposit.

    14 days or less before arrival: No refund.

    Supplier Cancellation: Cancellations made by Sami Siida may occur due to weather conditions or safety concerns. If an alternative experience is available, guests will have the option to accept it. Refunds will apply only to the canceled portion of the booking.

    Cancellation Due to Illness: Travel cancellation insurance is not
    included in the tour price. Guests are encouraged to have their own travel insurance.

  • Any changes to a booked tour will incur an administration fee:

    • NOK 200 per person for single-day/evening tours.

    • NOK 400 per person for multi-day tours/packages.

    • Sami Siida reserves the right to make minor adjustments to the tour program, revise pricing due to external factors, or cancel/change tours due to weather and seasonal conditions.

    Force Majeure
    Sami Siida is not responsible for cancellations or service disruptions due to circumstances beyond our control.

    These include, but are not limited to:
    War, terrorism, riots, pandemics, or outbreaks of serious disease. Natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, floods, or extreme weather affecting travel safety. Government regulations, strikes, transportation disruptions, or
    technical issues beyond our control.

     

  • If guests experience any issues during the tour, they must inform a Sami Siida representative immediately. If the issue is not resolved satisfactorily, the guest may be entitled to compensation, provided the issue was reported during the tour. Sami Siida is not responsible for issues beyond our control.

  • All guests, employees, and third parties are covered under Sami Siida's liability insurance. However, this insurance has a deductible of NOK 12,000, which must be covered by the guest.

    Guests are strongly encouraged to have their own personal travel insurance, covering:

    • Medical expenses and emergency repatriation.

    • Cancellation insurance in case of flight or transportation cancellations.

    • Accidental damage coverage for adventurous activities such as sledding, hiking, and reindeer herding experiences.

  • Any disputes arising from or related to this agreement shall be governed by Norwegian law. The venue for legal disputes is Alta District Court (Alta Tingrett), unless preceptorial international or national laws state otherwise.
